Intended to bring attention to Iowa's prairie ecosystem, the following project is a nature center in which users could observe the Iowa prairie's complex root system as if they are underground. With one volume for public program and one for private, the form is shaped by the surrounding topography to create a panoramic view of the surrounding prairie, while bringing attention to extracted prairie root sculptures in an underground-like spatial environment.
