Digital Fabrication
Iowa State University
Semester: Spring 2019
Parter(s): Nate Sands
Instructor: Shelby Doyle
Focusing on digital fabrication methods and parametric modeling tools, the assigned coursework aims to teach students techniques to translate digitally designed prototypes into physical models and the challenges that come with this process. As a group focus, the work that follows aims to create different designs that challenge material behavior and the notion that digital fabrication requires complex and custom algorithms. In doing so, all the projects that follow use only basic methods of digital modeling for their creation.
