As an elective class in the Iowa State B.Arch program, Drawing Practice asks us as students to develop our own drawing practice methodology as a response to a variety of readings given to us throughout the course. Taking inspiration from academics and practitioners such as Ivana Wingham, Bryan Cantley, David Leatherbarrow, James Corner, Perry Kulper and Teresa Stoppani, my drawing practice used a variety of mark-making strategies to reconstruct memories from the third person. By asking individuals to recall their most prominent memories and the architectural landmarks and emotions tied to them, my work throughout the semester aimed to portray how I visualize another person's memory.
